Rasmussen: 57% Say Send ALL of Congress Packing.

A new Rasmussen poll is out and has some interesting findings.

If Americans could vote to keep or replace the entire Congress, 57% would throw out all the legislators and start over again. Just 25% would vote to keep the Congress.

WASHINGTON – A newly unclassified Department of Homeland Security report warns against the possibility of violence by unnamed "right-wing extremists" concerned about illegal immigration,increasing federal power, , restrictions on firearms, abortion and the loss of U.S. sovereignty and singles out returning war veterans as particular threats.

The report, titled "Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment," dated April 7, states that "threats from white supremacist and violent anti-government groups during 2009 have been largely rhetorical and have not indicated plans to carry out violent acts."READ MORE>>>

Let me just say to all of you spooks out there that this news is very troubling to me, and I'm perplexed to why it's not troubling to you as well.

First of all, let me clear a few things up for you.

I am not a white supremacist. I believe like many 'right-wing-extremists' that we were all created in the image of God, and frankly I cringe every time someone tries to label people as anything other than human. I am a member of one race (and one race only), the HUMAN RACE.

I am not a violent anti-government group nor am I a member of any afformentioned groups.

I am not against government; although, I do feel that we have too much government. Our government is a bloated and festering wound on the side of Lady Liberty. Here in lies the problem. Liberty and Government directly oppose each other. Government wants more control and Liberty wants less control. Yes, you can have liberty and government, but it's much like walking a tight rope. A careful balance must be achieved and then maintained to assure that we stay as citizens with liberty and not subjects owned by the government.

So you're probably wondering why the 'Right-wing-extremist' title then?

My name and URL was spurred by the late great Barry Goldwater and the perception that those that support American Sovereignty, Liberty, Gun Ownership, Smaller Government, Federalism, a Right To Life, and other Constitutional Issues as "right wing extremists".

“It is no secret that for decades, the U.S. Government has operated well outside the relatively straight forward language and original intent of the provisions of our Constitution,” said Bob Schulz, Chairman of the WTP Foundation. “Unfortunately, these acts of the Government are deliberate violations of fundamental Law and have resulted in the destruction of the Liberty of the People.” 


The People have documented and confronted many of the Government’s constitutional violations including the war powers, privacy, 2nd Amendment and immigration abuses, as well as the banking and money violations that are the root cause of the current financial system meltdown. The People have also recently challenged the legal authority of the apparently bottomless Fed and Treasury economic bailouts. To date, the Government has refused to be held accountable. 



“We have reached a point where the People, much like our Founders, must carefully consider the course of current events and take actions to defend our unalienable Rights and interests, or Liberty itself may be irretrievably lost,” Schulz added. “The most disturbing of all the violations is our Government’s refusal to be held accountable in any manner. Not only has the federal Judiciary refused to wrestle with the underlying constitutional wrongs, the Supreme Court has refused to declare the authority of the People to directly procure relief under the First Amendment’s accountability clause. This is the essence of the constitutional crisis that must be addressed, and time is of the essence.”

While I'm not very aware of this foundation, I completely agree with them in their main points. We've lost a great many freedoms in the name of 'security'. I want those freedoms back. Security can never be guaranteed, but freedoms can be.

This is why our founding fathers were very explicit in our constitution about liberty and used very harsh words in The Declaration of Independence.

If the Declaration of Independence were addressed to the United States would it fit?

The Government is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation, and tyranny... (remember Blackwater in New Orleans?)

Certainly, some things hold true when held against our government but we're nowhere near the tipping point.

Will the tipping point come before reform starts? I hope not.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their Public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

It's been said that Republics don't fall as a result of outside pressures but rather they're destroyed from the inside. I'd encourage everyone to take a good look at American History, especially those events which led up to the American Revolution, and ask themselves--"Why do we put up with what we do when our forefather's went to war for less?"

Are we just spoiled? Is it because we are among the most wealthy in the world that we turn a blind eye to the downfall of our society?
