DC Ignores Gun Laws for The Media Elites

For the second time in as many weeks, the District of Columbia has chosen not to prosecute members of the media who have violated their assault weapons ban.

The Daily Caller reports
A staffer at left-wing Media Matters for America committed numerous felonies in the District of Columbia and around the country by carrying a firearm to defend the organization’s founder, David Brock, The Daily Caller has learned.
According to a knowledgeable source, multiple firearms used to protect the Media Matters founder were purchased with Brock’s blessing — and apparently with the group’s money.

Back in December, David Gregory illegally possessed and brandished a banned AR-15 magazine and got off scot free after the Attorney General of the District of Columbia decided it was better to selectively enforce it's pointless gun laws such as the Army veteran and federal employee James Brinkley who was arrested for transporting his unloaded Glock 22 and two 15 round magazines to a shooting range.

Recently, Senator Diane Feinstein raised questions with her show casing of illegally possessed rifles and handguns.  She on numerous occasions would pull out AK-47 variants and AR-15 type rifles to use as props for her failing attempt to ban certain semi-automatic rifles (rifles I might add work exactly the same as your grandfather's revolver--one trigger squeeze fires one bullet).  Once again the capitol police and DC Metro turned a blind eye even adding that the firearms were in police possession.

As Emily Miller writing for the Washington Times puts it: "It is shameful that the politicians running the nation’s capital have sent the clear message that there are two systems of justice in the city -- one for the rich and powerful and one for everyone else."

Fast & Furious News -- ATF Arms Sinaloa in Quid Pro Quo Deal

More damning news from the Fast & Furious Gun-Running scandal.  Many have said this, but new information has come out supporting the fact that US officials that were purposely arming cartels had been given the green light for drug trafficking (specifically the Sinaloa Cartel) in exchange for information to take down rival cartels.

The explosive allegations are being made by Jesus Vicente Zambada-Niebla, known as the Sinaloa Cartel’s “logistics coordinator.” He was extradited to the Chicago last year to face federal drug charges.

Sinaloa Cartel Operative Jesus Vincente Zambada Niebla Makes Explosive Allegation About Operation Fast and Furious
Zambada-Niebla claims that under a “divide and conquer” strategy, the U.S. helped finance and arm the Sinaloa Cartel through Operation Fast and Furious in exchange for information that allowed the DEA, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal agencies to take down rival drug cartels. The Sinaloa Cartel was allegedly permitted to traffic massive amounts of drugs across the U.S. border from 2004 to 2009 — during both Fast and Furious and Bush-era gunrunning operations — as long as the intel kept coming. I'm not entirely sure why we'd be surprised by this news. Look at our history.  We created Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden to fight our enemies then they became our enemies.  Now we're doing the same thing.  Do we think it'd be better to have one ENORMOUS CARTEL South of the border or several smaller ones killing each other.  Our CIA trafficked in cocaine to finance operations in the 1980s.

The only thing we haven't done yet (at least that we know of) is send the CIA down to train the cartels.  Oh wait we did... Correction:  we used "Special Forces" to train Mexican federal agents who later changed sides and became the ruthless cartel known as the Zetas.

13 Shot Dead at Batman Premier

At least 12 people were killed and 50 were being treated at Denver area hospitals after a shooting at a midnight showing of Batman, the youngest a 3-month-old baby.  READ MORE>>>
I'm not going to spend a lot of time on this, but I will say a few things.

If it weren't an election year, you could expect that this tragic (and thankfully rare) event would be one of the main reasons those in the anti-gunliberty movement would be pushing for stricter gun laws.

Next, if you have a gun you need to carry it and carry it everywhere.  I have at least one gun that I carry with me everywhere (including to work and church).  Yes it's much less likely that you'll be involved in a life-threatening situation in a movie theater, but those odds just changed for the worse today.  I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Likewise I'd rather be a little uncomfortable at a movie because a gun is digging into my back than have to live with myself knowing that I could've saved my life or the life of another but chose to leave my gun at home.

Lastly, my thoughts and prayers go out to those murdered, injured, and affected by this shooting.

May God bring swift justice to the murderer and comfort those affected by this demonic event.
