Jullian Assange: US on "precipice" of losing founding values

Wikileaks founder spoke for the first time since taking asylum in Ecuador's embassy.

He thanked his supporters and chided the American government for their "witch hunt" against Wikileaks.
"We must use this moment to articulate the choice that is before the government of the United States America.

Will it return to and re-affirm the revolutionary values it was founded on or will it launch off the precipice dragging us all into a dangerous and oppressive world in which journalists fall silent under the fear of prosecution and citizens must whisper in the dark?

I say it must turn back. I ask President Obama to do the right thing.  The United States must renounce it's witch hunt against Wikileaks. . . "  READ MORE>>
President Obama should give Assange his Nobel Peace Prize... Assange deserves it much more than Obama. 

I'm conflicted on the whole spill the beans on the national secrets thing.  Some things need to be spilled (like Bradley Manning's leak of US soldiers shooting and killing innocent reporters).
